Blues Festival Update 15-17th July
Following the success of last year’s ‘Blues Festival of the Year’ winning festival we are really building further for this year;
The Sports Field Stage will open at 1pm on Friday with bands running through right till Sunday evening with only 30 min changeovers between the bands.
The Sports Field Stage will also be MUCH bigger with a huge marquee, big stage, bigger names, more stalls and lots of loveliness to build on the fantastic chilled ambience of last year.
We also have our very own FM radio station running all weekend featuring lots of top UK blues DJ’s doing shows as well as all sorts of local interest stories – we are the first blues festival ever to run an FM station!
We will have our first ever lecture programme upstairs in the Memorial Hall
On the Riverside we have increased the viewing area to allow larger crowds by moving the food stalls into different (but still very accessible) locations.
Our Schools programme will include a performance of around 100 local young people playing together on the Riverside on Friday teatime.
And most exciting of all we will be able to show you, the friends and fans of the festival, the investment that you have made possible with the transformation of the Upton upon Severn playground area funded exclusively by the festival.
